Process Communication Model®

Used around the world, the Process Communication Model (PCM®) was developed by Taibi Kahler, Ph.D., an award-winning clinical psychologist who has served as an advisor to Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and several presidential and gubernatorial campaigns. Dr. Kahler discovered how to identify and respond effectively to patterns of productive behavior (successful communication) and non-productive behavior (miscommunication) literally second by second.

PCM demonstrates how personality and communication can be understood through six basic personality types, and that how we say something is more important than what we say. Each of the six types learns differently, is motivated differently, communicates differently, and has a different sequence of negative behaviors they engage in when in distress.

In comparison with other popular tools such as the MBTI® or DISC®, PCM® clients have found the model to be unmatched in its ability to explain individual uniqueness while offering a simple model for predicting human behavior and motivation. PCM’s utility and application for communication, decision-making, conflict-resolution, and leadership development is without equal.
