Process Solutions is the consulting, training, and research division of Prairie View, a non-profit psychiatric hospital and network of outpatient behavioral health facilities serving Kansas for over 50 years. Established in 1999, Prairie View Process Solutions was created to meet the growing need for non-clinical services in schools, churches, businesses and a variety of other organizations. Rooted in Prairie View’s rich history, Process Solutions serves clients across the United States.

Nate grew up in Africa as the son of missionary parents in the1970s-80s.
After completing his bachelor degree at Bethel College in Newton, KS, he worked for several
years as a mental health worker before going on to complete his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at
the University of Kansas. He has been with Prairie View since 1997. Nate’s clinical experience
ranges from substance abuse to older adult issues, to integrated behavioral medicine and wellness,
to coaching and consultation. He has conducted research and training in the areas of co-occurring
substance abuse and mental health problems, older adult issues, mind-body wellness, and the
impact of yoga-based laughter training on personal efficacy. As Director of Prairie View’s
Process Solutions, Nate oversees the functioning of Prairie View’s organizational consulting services,
and adventure and experiential education.
He enjoys professional speaking, training and consulting around
effective communication, performance improvement, emotional intelligence, healthcare utilization,
and mind-body wellness. He is a certified trainer in the Process Communications Model (PCM) and the
Capabilities Awareness Profile (CAP). When he’s not scheming up some new program to keep everyone
else busy, he likes woodworking, watersports, and cooking with his family. Nate is married and has
three daughters.

Michele provides administrative support for Process Solutions, Employee Assistance Programs and Adventure Services. She was attracted to Prairie View because it is a non-profit Christian organization that serves people in need. Michele feels her gift is in the supporting of her team. She relishes taking care of the details in the background, so her gifted team members whose job it is to empower the unempowered, instill hope and life into the disheartened, inspire and encourage the down trodden to embrace their dreams and realize their goals. Always striving for excellence, nothing pleases her more than to know we have exceeded a customer’s expectations. Wife of one, mother of two, grandmother of three - Michele's mantra for 2008 is "Be present in every second of your existence..." |

Judy is a Newton native, having attended Newton High School and Bethel College. She has been with Prairie View over 25 years, sharing her passion for learning and professional excellence. Her dedication to Prairie View’s mission is fueled by her belief that it’s all about helping clients forward their personal mission in life by finding substance, meaning and value through education. Judy enjoys the social aspects of her work, and takes pride in keeping abreast of the constantly changing requirements for continuing education.

Lindsay received her undergraduate degree from Wichita State University with a double-major in psychology and sociology, and went on to get a masters degree in sociology with emphasis in criminology. Lindsay’s background in research methods and statistics attracted her to come help us evaluate the effectiveness of the work we do. Lindsay is married and has two children, is an avid scrapbooker, and enjoys digital design work. Don’t be fooled by her number-crunching capabilities – Lindsay is quite an artist as well!

Jamie has been with Prairie View since 1993. She attended Emporia State University, where she did a general study in corporate fitness and an internship focusing on consulting in personal training. She is actively involved in experiential education program development for many of the populations that we serve at Prairie View. Jamie specializes in training and development for site facilitators as well as workshops on facilitation skills. She is certified in the Capabilities Awareness Profile and works closely with our outcomes research projects. Jamie has a passion for behind the scenes problem solving at work and spending time with her husband and three children.

Jeff has been with Prairie View since 2002 and was with United Methodist Youthville prior to that for 5 years. He has lived in Newton since 1997, ever since a short lived career at Braum's after completing his undergraduate at Emporia State. His hobbies are golfing, fishing, hiking and attempting to know what he is doing with a canoe. He enjoys getting to know people and groups of people. He often learn more from the groups of people with whom he is working and absolutely love to hear and experience alternative ways to accomplish tasks. His personal and professional guide is " if you believe then you have the power to make it happen".

Tamara grew up in rural western Kansas. After completing her bachelor’s degree at Fort Hays State University, she taught art to students of all ages in public and private schools. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in art therapy from Emporia State University, and has worked with Prairie View for more than 6 years. Tamara’s clinical experience includes work with very young children to older adults, on issues ranging from depression to sexual abuse. She has written and published several articles and has conducted training and workshops designed to help people learn to use their creativity as a tool to navigate life’s challenges. As the Director of Expressive Therapies at Prairie View, Tamara oversees Creative Arts and Art Therapy groups and individual sessions for inpatients and outpatients. She also facilitates individual, group, and organizational life coaching. Tamara enjoys incorporating Prairie View’s outcomes tools into her work with patients and clients. When she is not busy dreaming up new ways to offer services, she enjoys spending time in nature, creating art to facilitate her personal/spiritual growth, and spending time with her family, which includes her husband and three children. |
